PRICE- 79,990Eco-Friendly and packed with Multi-Touch Gesture Control Technology, the Apple MACBOOK MB466LL/A takes personal computing one step into tomorrow.
The most expensive hardware, the most restrictive software and yet among the most desired computers-perhaps this defines Apple's new MacBook launched in india in the month of October, lives up to this definition. Priced at Rs 79,900, the notebook might be expensive, especially when you consider the laptops of other brands with a similar configuration of 13.3 inch display, 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 160 GB hard disk and 2 GB RAM. But then comparing Mac with other brands is being native, if not sacrrilegeous. A Mac is to be compared only with other versions.
NEW INTEGRATED GRAPHICS PROCESSOR:It offers enhanced 3D gaming and video experience witjout compromising on the battery. The in-built Nvidia GeForce 9400 graphics card offers five times better performance than the earlier MacBooks , ensuring a gala time for gaming freaks and gamers.
ECO-FRINDLY MAKE:It has a thin LED backlit display that is power efficient since it made up of arsenic-free glass. The display is an example of how Apple has gone a step forward by creating environment-friendly by eliminating the use of Brominated Flame Retardents(BFRs) in logic boards and PVC in cables and connectors. Unlike the regular laptops that are made by assembling different pieces, the latest Mac Book is crafted from a single sheet of recyclable aluminium.
BATTERY INDICATOR:A new indicator key has been placed on the left panel to display the battery status without opening up the laptop.
USER-FRIENDLY FEATURES:Apple has worked hard on the usability factor in this laptop. The addiction of the multi-touched trackpad empowers users to touch and click anywhere they like to click on the pad, that too with multi-touch jestures. For instance two fingures help in scrolling up and down, whereas pinching results in zooming in and out. Images can be rotated with the fingertips and two fingers can carry out the right-click function.
HOWEVER:There is no PCMCIA card slot(it is replaced by the Express card slot). It does not have the standard configuration of 3 USBs but has only 2. Most softwares that are downloaded or purchased wont work on MacBook unless installing Xp on your Mac Book using Boot Camp which gonna cost u around Rs 3000.
