Superfast Desktops

You thought computers these days were fast? Think again. Nvidia has announced plans for a super computer that is 250 times faster than any other PC. Even as the world is getting used to the multi-core computer processing , we have another transition. In this, GPUs(graphic processing units) will work along with the CPU and hadle work and performance loads.

Usually graphics card are installed on the PC to improve gaming or 3D graphical performance. But soon these graphics cards will be as powerfull as the CPU itself. Nvidia and its worldwide partners have announced the avialability of TESLA personal super computer that will open any software at lightning speed. More importatnly, these desktops with a processing speed approaching that of main frames will be priced like a conventional workstation. Nvidia had hinted in last year that they were developing this technology but no one expected it to be out so soon.

At the core of the GPU-based TESLA Personal Super Computer is the TESLA C1060 GPU Computing Processor which is based on the NVidia CUDA parallel computing architecture. CUDA enables developers and researchers to harness the massively parallel computational power of TESLA GPU. It seems like one more tech turn is again going to change the face of personal computing. Already companies like DELL are adapting to this innovation.
